What We Do
We share and create knowledge and strategies with families to help young children learn at home, in their community, and at school.
We offer two practical programs for parents/carers and other family members in a time poor world to:
- Learn simple strategies that work to build children's confidence and success in early reading, writing and maths.
- Value their own role as teachers, and learn more about why their engagement matters.
- Meet, talk and work in comfortable spaces to learn together, have some fun and build relationships.
These programs can be tailored to complement the different literacy and numeracy strategies that preschools, kindys and schools use.
Through negotiation, they can also be tailored to respond further to the diversity of families and children.
Successful Learning in the Early Years
Successful Learning – The Parent Factor is a series of parent-to-parent workshops that encourage and support families to engage in their children’s early learning and literacy in helpful ways.
Indigenous Parent Factor
The Indigenous Parent Factor (IPF) – Successful Learning in the Early Years at Home and School Program builds strong and culturally-appropriate foundations among Indigenous parents, carers and families to effectively engage in their children’s early learning and transition to school.
